Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

Dear Robin, I don't know if you will ever read this, but here is a very dissapointed fan. And I know I'm not the only one here. You have cancelled your show in Amsterdam for the third time now. And we were so looking forward to the show. Yes we got a refund. But we don't care about that, we want to hear you perform. We understand that the organization has declined your proposal for a new date. But I hope that you will make it up to us fans here in the Netherlands. And if I can help you in any way, it would be a honor. But please make it up to us some way or another.

Kind Regards,

Jeroen van der Schalie

Re: Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

Some of you complaining about Robin cancelling his show on June second are totally inconsiderate. After he cannot put him in the category of rock stars who weren't even there when any of their babies were born. He really cares about his wife and first born. Therefore get a grip on yourself. After all he isn't Brett Michaels.

Re: Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

As someone has already stated Robin's first born was due in May, but no one but the Almighty knew when that beautiful baby boy was due to come into the world. His first born was born in April instead of May. Therefore you should have a lot of consideration on him wanting and needing to stay with his wife and new born son, and not have any plans to travel out of the country for a little while. Have some patience. I'm sure when everything is settled he will have a new tour arranged.

Re: Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

I totally understand your disappointment. I wanted to go to that concert too... he also postponed a show (a day after your show was suppose to take place) here in Germany ; twice and then cancelled it.

But I have known for a long time that his management (the part that takes care of shows in Europe obviously)is ALL messed up. This stuff does not suprise me anymore. I bet he did not even know he was suppose to tour through Europe when they made the arrangements. When there is a show announced I don't get excited anymore.. because I know his management is kind of dingdong. This is the way it is.

Don't hate on Robin. What's up with that?

well I don't .. and it happened to me back in 2007 many times.. shows announced... postponed... cancelled. Sucks.. but hey.
Please don't forget he had his baby boy.. he has had to spend his time with his wife and son because it was hard on both of them.

Please understand.

Cheers!

Oh another thing:

This "one day before the showcase thing": This is up to the club it was suppose to take place at. I called the guy that organized it in Germany as soon as I heard the rumours... and he told me at least a month ago the concerts are not going down. I always wondered why the Escape site did not inform the fans.
They knew long ago. I am sure. Maybe they were hopeful.. but they knew.
(sounds like a bad horror movie line... sorry) :)

SO she gave birth??? didnt he know that 9 months before? why did he plan a show???
The baby came six weeks early. He and his wife did not know that was going to happen.

She gave birth 7 th of april, the show was supposed to be june2, so what are you talking about? does that give him the right to cancel a show 3 times?? and last minute?

Ummmm....DO you know how many times Robin has canceled a Chicago show? I got over it. His family is more important. If you got your money back you should be happy. If it is so much of an issue maybe you should book a flight else where to see the show. If it is not that serious for you to do that you shouldn't be that angry. He'll do the show, I'm sure. You should have an issue with the venue that would select a new date.

Re: Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

As others have said Paula gave birth 6 weeks early. His son was in the hospital for a few weeks after the birth. I doubt Robin is going to leave his wife and child to perform in Europe with all that going on. Yes it sucks he had to cancel. I would be frustrated too but there are more important things going on in his life right now. I am sure he will return later.

Their baby was premature. Anyone who has a preemie has to take some time off, yes even weeks and months. Preemies are unpredictible, I don't know how you could not understand that.

Re: Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

This would be my 4th time to Robin live.
i am Not only disappointed, i am ANGRY!! i dont how an artist can cancel somany times a show, whatabout the fans???
Dont tell me he didnt know way before that he wasnt going to perform in Amsterdam, i just dont buy that
To cancel 3 times and the last minute shows NO respect to all the people who have tickets!!!

Its just beyond my words.

If he has personal reasons/ problems he should not postpone the show 3 times........

Re: Dissapointed in Robin Thicke and its management

You got that right Jeroen...!

Was looking forward hearing him live..I got a ticket from my baby sister. On the other hand I could understand if there is something with his wife or child, I also would stay home for them - or close by.

But it suckes to hear it's canceld, one day before the showcase. :-(
